In May, 2011, a University Seal Committee, composed of faculty, staff, student and alumni representatives, was formed to develop an official seal for UCA. Previously, the University had no official seal. As an alternative, the State of Arkansas’s seal was being used with the institution’s name printed around it.
After several months of discussion, a design was presented at several public functions across campus. After receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the UCA community, the University Seal Committee voted to present the proposed design to the UCA Board of Trustees for its approval.
UCA’s first official seal was approved on February 24th, 2012.
