TLC Policies

Equipment Checkout Policy

Beginning August 18, 2016, the Technology Learning Center has revised its equipment checkout policy. The complete policy can be found here.

Lab Reservation Policy

The College of Education (COE) has one computer lab, located in Mashburn Room 101.  It is referred to as the TLC Lab due to its proximity to the Technology Learning Center (TLC).  The TLC Lab is primarily used by faculty teaching COE technology courses and faculty in the Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) group needing a computer lab.

The TLC Lab reservation policy is as follows:

  • EDUC 4210 courses have first priority, as the course is held in the lab.
  • EPP/COE faculty has second-level priority and should reserve the lab as far in advance as possible.
  • Non-EPP/COE faculty can reserve the TLC lab within two weeks of the scheduled lab date.  We are not able to give non-EPP/COE faculty priority due to the limited availability of the lab.  We recommend reserving another computer lab on campus through Centralized Scheduling at this link: https://schedule.uca.edu/EmsWebApp/

Technology Support Policy

The TLC is equipped to provide rapid support to classrooms and offices within the College of Education (Mashburn). Non-urgent technology support requests will be directed to Information Technology.

TLC staff are not permitted to work on personal devices. We will attempt to diagnose issues only when the issue relates to software utilized by the College (e.g. – Chalk & Wire). Upon request, we are able to provide a referral for repair services in the area.
