Program Requirements 

To participate in a Faculty-Led Study Abroad course students should have completed 30 credit hours prior to program start date and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5.  Faculty approval is required for all faculty-led study abroad programs. Students must be in good standing with the university to travel abroad.

How do I apply?

Complete the online study abroad application accessible here, then follow the instructions provided. You must make an appointment to submit your completed application. Program costs will be publish by mid-fall. You will also need to print and complete the course approval form.

Application & Fee Payment Overview

Program payments are split up into installments throughout the spring semester, with tuition and fee charges posted in late April.

How much is my tuition and fee payment?   

View the fee chart published by the Office of Student Accounts to check the cost of your 3 or 6 hour course(s) for a full 13-week summer session.  

What if I need to drop out of the program after applying?

Download and carefully review the Study Abroad Refund Policy and Withdrawal Form: Refund Policy and Withdrawal Form  Be sure to review the cancellation and refund policy carefully prior to submitting a program application. All payments are non-refundable.

What is the deadline to apply for the program?

All programs, unless otherwise noted, will have an application deadline of Friday, January 20, 2017. As noted in the Application Packet, a complete application will include the faculty leader’s signature of approval and a receipt showing payment of the $500 deposit to the Office of Student Accounts.

What does the cost of my program include?

The publicized program cost is the amount you will pay to the Office of Student Accounts. Each program has an explanation of what is included in the program cost. For most programs, tuition and fees are an additional cost. For each program, you may be required to purchase additional items prior to departure or upon arrival.
