This course surveys literature on multiculturalism, diversity, and racism in higher education settings in the United States adn explores higher education in other countries, including a study abroad experience. The course is designed to enable the student to (1) develop an understanding of multicultural issues affecting post-secondary education, (2) develop strategies related to multicultural goals within postsecondary education institutions, and (3) explore the internationalization of student affairs as a profession.
