Study Abroad Office to Host Passport Fair

The U.S. Post Office will process passport applications in the Study Abroad office on Thursday, Nov. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. The Office of Study Abroad is located in the Torreyson Library, room 109.

Students will be able to apply for a passport or renew an expired one. Applicants will need both the original and a copy of their birth certificate and driver’s license. Students should check travel.state.gov for more details on the application process.

Students can make an appointment at uca.edu/studyabroad/passport-fair/ for quicker application processing. Appointments are 10 to 15 minutes each. Students should come with all necessary documents and an unsigned passport application. Appointments are encouraged but not required.

Post office employees will be able to take students’ passport photos for $15. Exact change is required.

The passport application processing fee will be $25. Students can pay with either cash or check.

Students must also bring a check or money order for $110 made out to the Department of State.  This fee covers the cost of the passport. Money orders can be ordered at the UCA Post Office.

Out-of-state students must bring their driver’s license and student ID to process their documents.

The Office of Study Abroad hopes to make this an annual event.
