
Circle K Club
The UCA Circle K Club is a community service organization that is sponsored by the Conway Kiwanis Club. It is part of the world-wide K-Family network that includes Kiwanis Clubs, Key Clubs, Builder Clubs, etc. The following are a few quick facts about UCA Circle K –
- UCA Circle K became an official recognized student organization in September 1997. The primary purpose of the club is to provide service to the community. Other purposes are to promote fellowship and leadership.
- The club normally has 20-30 active members who participate in 40 service activities while donating over 700 hours to service. The club also sponsors social and leadership activities.
- UCA Circle K meets every other Monday at 5:00 p.m. in room 225 Student Center.
- Circle K Club dues for the entire year is $35.00 (subject to change). Submit payment to the treasurer. Make check payable to UCA Circle K.
- To be placed on the UCA Circle K list serve, contact Gary Roberts, advisor, at garyr@uca.edu. This list serve is used to make announcements about upcoming activities and meetings.
- UCA Circle K has a facebook page called Bears Circle K. Please feel free to join this page. http://www.facebook.com/bears.circlek
- UCA Circle K recognizes Circle K members at the end of the year for the following awards – Outstanding Attendance, Outstanding Circle K Members, and Circle K “Member of the Year” Award.
- Circle K members are invited to attend Conway Kiwanis Club meetings and luncheons, which are held on Wednesdays at Ryan’s Grill, Buffet & Bakery. Lunch is from 12 noon to 12:30, followed by a program until 1:00 p.m. Meals are free for Circle K members.
