For a brief overview of the proposal preparation process as set forth in UCA policies, please read.
Routing and Submission
All external proposals for federal, state, foundation, and industry grants will be electronically routed for institutional signatures (which may include your chair, dean, and the Provost, among others) through the Cayuse424 system. This ensures that you have the institutional support that is required by UCA policy and most funding agencies.
All federal proposals will be electronically submitted through the Cayuse 424 system, which automatically submits them to Grants.gov, the primary system for applying for federal grants. Be aware that some federally funded grants require proposal writers to submit additional information through other government systems. For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requires that proposers create an eRA Commons account in order to apply for NIH grants before submitting applications through Cayuse 424.
For non-federal submissions, you will route your proposal through Cayuse 424 and then submit it to the agency through the process described in their instructions.
To understand the routing process please see these instructions and policies.
NOTE: To gain initial access to the Cayuse 424 system, we request that you receive brief training. Please call (501) 450-3451 to set up an appointment. It's generally preferable that we come to your office or that you bring your laptop to our office so we can help configure your computer.
