Government Relations Overview

University and Government Relations is charged with representing the campus at the local, state, and federal level on various issues including state and federal funding and public policy.

The division monitors legislation filed in Little Rock and in Washington, D.C. to make sure UCA’s faculty, staff and students can function and operate in a climate that is conducive to learning and is also meeting the goals and objectives set by policy makers.

The division works with other representatives of higher education institutions in the state as well as with state agencies such as the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, the Arkansas Department of Education, the Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration, and other relevant organizations such as the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges.
