Over the 2015-2016 academic year UCA will be phasing in new Undergraduate Graduation Procedures. Those procedures will be based on your expected date of graduation. Please follow the appropriate link to get more information on how these changes will affect your application process.
Name cards will be provided as the students arrive and checks in on the day of commencement. It is important that you be in the correct position in the appropriate degree line in order to be properly recognized during the ceremony. Students are requested to arrive one hour prior to the beginning of the procession in order to be seated. A faculty marshal will be on hand at each station to supervise line formation and lead the procession.
Caps, Gowns, Announcements and Class Rings may be ordered through the bookstore on campus. In accordance with academic tradition, all degree candidates are robed in a black cap and gown. For Undergraduate candidates the tassel is worn on the right side of the cap until the degree is conferred.
Before the Big Day: Things to Review
Incomplete Grades & Transfer Credits: Official transcripts showing outstanding transfer credits and/or final grades for incomplete (X) courses and any correspondence courses should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office as soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in apparent deficiencies in your degree audit and prevent your degree from being awarded.
University Accounts: All outstanding account balances with University Offices should be settled as soon as possible. Outstanding balances may prevent you from being able to receive official transcripts and verifying your degree.
Financial Aid: An exit interview with Student Financial Aid may be required for students receiving certain types of aid. Touch base with the Financial Aid office to verify your status and if necessary complete your required session
