March 16, 2012 marks Bravo’s inaugural evening. A group of community volunteers, in partnership with the college, have come together to create what will become an annual fundraising event for the College of Fine Arts and Communication. Each year the event will focus on a different department within the college and will benefit the students of that department. This year, Bravo will benefit students in the Department of Writing.

Bravo is a gala dinner featuring a guest artist who is also a College of Fine Arts and Communication artist in residence. This year we welcome travel writer Rick Steves to share dinner and conversation with donors on the stage of Reynolds Performance Hall. Funds raised will be used for students in the writing department to attend professional conferences in the United States and abroad. Attendance at a professional conference will expose the students to professional writers who can influence future career decisions. Students will make connections that will advance their careers after they leave UCA. Your support of Bravo! will give these deserving young adults a chance to step outside the classroom and learn from professionals working in their chosen field.
