Randy Newman is a legendary singer-songwriter, arranger, composer and pianist who is known for his distinctive voice, mordant pop songs and vast array of film scores. Since the 1980s, Newman has worked mostly as a film composer, with scores including Ragtime, Awakenings, The Natural, Leatherheads, James and the Giant Peach, Cats Don’t Dance, Meet the Parents, Cold Turkey, Seabiscuit and The Princess and the Frog. He has scored seven Disney-Pixar films: Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story 3, and most recently, Monsters University.  He has won numerous awards including two Academy Awards, three Emmys and six Grammy Awards.  He is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rock of Roll Hall of Fame, has been inducted as a Disney Legend and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.   Newman will perform many of his hits with the Conway Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Israel Getzov.
