Dr. Lowe is an Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Physical Therapy and a licensed physical therapist.  She is a board certified clinical specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Dr. Lowe received her PhD degree in physical therapy in 2013 from the University of Central Arkansas where she also received her DPT degree in 2006.  Her research interests include pediatric physical therapy intervention, concussion assessment, and effective educational strategies in DPT education. Dr. Lowe currently teaches in pediatric neurology, research, and neurophysiological principles of motor control in the department.  Dr. Lowe serves on the Interprofessional Education Committee and the Interprofessional Teaching Center task force for the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences. Additionally, she is active with APTA Arkansas. Her clinical specialty is pediatrics, and she is currently clinically active at Pediatrics Plus.

Dr. Lowe is the 2020 recipient of the the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Margaret L. Moore Award for Outstanding New Academic Faculty Member.
