Dr. Lairamore received his PhD in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas. He also received his MS in Physical Therapy from UCA and Bachelor of Science in Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. His research agenda is aimed at improving rehabilitation and motor re-learning in individuals with stroke or brain injury. Specifically his line of inquiry involves the use of electrical and mechanical modalities (functional electrical stimulation, peripheral electrical stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, and orthoses) and their effects on rehabilitation and motor re-learning. Additionally, Dr. Lairamore is interested in interprofessional education to improve preparedness of health professional students to employ patient centered care / rehabilitation. His clinical interest is in inpatient rehabilitation; neurological conditions, stroke, and brain injury. Dr. Lairamore is a board certified clinical specialist in Geriatric and Neurologic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He teaches Adult Neurological Rehabilitation and Neurophysiological Principles of Motor Control.
