LEAD students partnered with the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas in the development of aspiring leaders. Four workshops lead by faculty & students were conducted in the spring of 2014 and culminated in four group presentations from developing leaders of Stuttgart who highlighted a need to be addressed in the community and how they would go about creating the change necessary to see their vision through.
The project also provided LEAD students an opportunity to research their own experiences and development along the leader development continuum. Researchers are proud to say that their research proposal was accepted for the International Leadership Association’s annual conference, and they were happy to represent the LEAD program at ILA’s conference in San Diego in November, 2014. Congrats team Stuttgart!
