Community Education

Community Education assists in fulfilling a vital part of the University’s mission by educating the citizens of Conway and surrounding communities through non-credit, personal enrichment courses that are available to the public during the fall and spring semesters. Contact Community Education at 501.450.5811 or email communityed@uca.edu.

Concurrent Enrollment

Our mission at the University of Central Arkansas Concurrent Enrollment program is to provide a challenging college-level experience for high school students who have demonstrated their readiness for post-secondary academic work.  By expanding educational access to all individuals who meet academic requirements, the University of Central Arkansas intends to raise the educational bar in Arkansas. Contact Concurrent Enrollment at 501.450.3118 or concurrent@uca.edu.

Community Development

The award-winning Community Development Institute Central (CDI) has trained thousands of professionals for over two decades. The institute builds the capacity of individuals and communities to positively impact economic and social development. This is achieved by expanding an individual’s ability to identify community assets, set goals, encourage collaboration and partnerships with stakeholders, and brings together groups of people to respond to a broad range of economic and quality-of-life issues.

Extended Study

Extended Study courses are UCA credit courses that are perfect for individuals who have a hard time fitting on-campus classes into their schedules. Both traditional and non-traditional students can take advantage of a course in which they set the pace of the class and fit in homework and tests based upon their individual schedules. The program is also great for individuals who are paying out-of-pocket for school because it allows more time to successfully finish a course as compared to semester-based courses. Some students find it very convenient when, in the middle of the semester, they realize they need another class and are able to sign up mid-semester with Extended Study. Courses are available in online and paper-based formats. Contact Extended Study at 501.852.7407 or credit@uca.edu.

Outreach and Community Engagement serves to bridge the gap between your educational development and your professional success. Equitable access to such professional development opportunities is imperative.
