Mrs. Rowe has been on faculty at UCA since 2008 has previous experience in various areas of adult and geriatric care including: acute, rehabilitation, long term care, burns, hands, and psych with an emphasis in neurological disorders. Although originally from Conway, she has spent her career in St. Louis, Missouri at St. Anthony’s Medical Center; Baltimore, Maryland at Johns Hopkins Bayview; and in Atlanta, Georgia at Emory University. She has always worked directly with patients but also has experience in management.
Prior to coming to UCA, she was a project coordinator for numerous research studies at Emory University involving rehabilitation therapies for the neurologically compromised upper extremity. She enjoys sharing her love of research and occupational therapy with the occupational therapist trainees at UCA. Mrs. Rowe remains active in giving courses on Constraint Induced Therapy and on Evaluation Measures. She is currently pursuing a PhD in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University.
