Dr. Acre has provided occupational therapy services since 1983, has taught at UCA since 1988, is the advisor for pre-occupational therapy students, and serves as admission chairperson. Her practice has focused on providing mental health services and services to the elderly.
Dr. Acre is co-founder and co-director of Acting Creates Therapeutic Success (ACTS), a community based performing arts program with adults with developmental disabilities. She has been involved in various leadership positions both in the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association. Currently, she serves as a member of the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Licensing Committee and on the Independent Living Services Board.
