General Business (BBA)

The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business is designed to give graduates a broad-based understanding of business. It is an interdisciplinary degree with two parts. The first part is the business foundation and core, which includes 48 hours (16 classes) covering accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, management information systems, business communications, and business law. The second part is the general business major, which includes 24 hours (8 classes) of business courses. The 8 classes must include at least one course in any three of the following disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Insurance/Risk Management, Management, Marketing or Management Information Systems.

This degree is designed for individuals who wish to explore diverse aspects of business rather than taking all eight courses in one field. It is designed so that students can create a course of study that prepares them for their academic and professional goals. This degree program is delivered totally online.
