YOUTH THEATRE OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS PERFORMANCES

The Youth Theatre of Central Arkansas (YTCA) presents its summer productions June 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and June 3 at 2 p.m. on the Bridges Larson stage in Snow Fine Arts on the University of Central Arkansas campus.

Performances are free and open to the public.

Theatre instructor Ruthann Curry Browne is the director of the summer intensive theatre training for students from grades 5 to 12. “This is YTCA’s 27th year as an outreach summer program of the UCA Theatre. It is my 14th year with YTCA, and each summer the students surprise me with their incredible creativity and love of the theatre!” Browne said.

Every day for four weeks the students come together to work on their acting and technical skills, and rehearse a play to present to the public. This summer’s theme was “Classic Tales of Madness and Monsters”.

YTCA is proud to be a part of the University of Central Arkansas Theatre Program and is grateful for the continued support of the Department of Fine Arts and Communication.

The UCA College of Fine Arts and Communication includes the Departments of Art, Music, and Film, Theatre and Creative Writing, as well as the School of Communication. The college’s primary mission is the preparation of the next generation of artists, educators, and communicators. For more information about CFAC, visit www.uca.edu/cfac or call 501-450-3293.
