UCA Theatre to Present Family Performance

CadronCompanyUCA THEATRE TO PRESENT CHILDREN’S SHOW

UCA Theatre will present Furry Tails with a Twist  by Jennifer Hickok DeFratis on Friday, January 31 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 am in the Reynolds Performance Hall. UCA Theatre’s own traveling troupe of players, The Cadron Company, will perform the production.

In this charming family show, two bumbling actors set out to perform well-known fairy tales. But the script gets jumbled and what results is a wacky, lighthearted mixture of beloved children’s stories with twists and turns at every corner.

The production is under the direction of Liz Parker. Cast members include Colin Fowler of Cabot and Abby Saveall of Mt. Ida, both UCA Theatre majors.  Costume and props design is by Madison Ledbetter of Malvern with set design by Tom Marhenke, UCA Theatre’s resident Technical Director.

The play is appropriate for all ages, but is especially fun for children age 4-11. The play runs approximately 45 minutes.

Admission is free. Tickets are not required and seats are not reserved. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.

After the campus performances, the play will tour to over 20 elementary schools throughout the central Arkansas area during the spring semester. Additional information can be obtained by calling Liz Parker at 501-450-5092 or on UCA Theatre’s web site at www.uca.edu/theatre.
