UCA Staff Club is revived

The UCA Staff Club is reforming on campus.

That came about over a recent brown bag luncheon with about 15 staff members reminiscing about the old club and eagerly anticipating the new one. Some of those present remembered the old club dating back to at least 1977 and ending about 2002.

Meetings will be held the second Monday of each month at noon according to newly-elected President Peggy Braden.

The meeting place will be announced with the program each month. Dues are $5 per year and the club is open to all staff members at UCA.

The group’s biggest project is expected to be the Bosses Day celebration according to Braden.

The first “official” meeting will be in June when the first program will take place.

The group meets again on May 12 for a “brainstorming” session to get ideas on the kind of programs that everyone wants to have.

In addition to Braden, other officers include, Judi Keeth, vice president; Jan Fortney, secretary and Linda Carter, treasurer.

Individuals with questions or suggestions may call Braden at (501) 852-5120.
