University of Central Arkansas President Tom Courtway and Arkansas State University-Beebe Chancellor Dr. Eugene McKay will sign an addiction studies articulation agreement at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Board of Trustees Room on the UCA campus.

The articulation agreement allows students to earn an Associate of Science in Health Science from ASU-Beebe. Students will then be able to complete the final two years of study at UCA to earn a Bachelor of Science in addiction studies.

The articulation agreement provides clarity regarding the specific courses a student needs to take to earn a degree from both institutions.

This will be the 17th articulation agreement between UCA and ASU-Beebe. Articulation agreements between the two institutions now cover approximately 40 percent of all current UCA baccalaureate degree programs.

Joining Courtway and McKay for the historic signing will be Dr. Steven Runge, UCA executive vice president and provost for Academic Affairs and Dr. Theodore Kalthoff, ASU-Beebe vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, as well as other administrators from both institutions.
