Ross receives grant to study speech pathology services in schools

Sharon Ross, Department of Speech-Language Pathology, received $30,500 for a grant proposal titled ?Implementing the Support Personnel Model in Schools.?

The grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Education through the Arkansas Department of Education, will provide in-service training for speech pathologists and support personnel working in the schools. Ross also will conduct program approval and monitoring of schools using support personnel.

Ross said this grant provides a service to the Arkansas Department of Education which enhances the delivery of speech-language therapy services to students in Arkansas schools.
