Hinkle appointed to board of trustees

Kay Hinkle of Mountain View is the newest member of the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees.

By appointment of Gov. Mike Huckabee, Mrs. Hinkle will serve a seven-year term. She succeeds Dalda Womack who previously served for 14 years on the board.

Hinkle, originally from Malvern, is a 1970 graduate of UCA with a degree in business. Extremely active in community affairs at Mountain View, she is a member of the Stone County Scholarship Foundation Board; the Selective Service Board of Stone County; and an Associate Member of the Committee of 100 for the Ozark Folk Center. She also previously served for 10 years on the Mountain View School Board.

She is the wife of Jim Hinkle, president of the Bank of Mountain View. They attend Flatwoods Baptist Church and have two daughters, who are both UCA graduates.

?I?m really looking forward to serving on the UCA Board,? Mrs. Hinkle said this week. ?I?ve always enjoyed a challenge and making a difference, and I will work hard to continue all the wonderful things now happening on the UCA campus.?

?Kay Hinkle is a dear friend and outstanding individual,? said UCA President Lu Hardin. ?She will be a wonderful addition to our board of trustees.?
