CONCERT CHOIR, CHAMBER SINGERS TO BE IN CONCERT TUESDAY

The University of Central Arkansas Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present their final concert of the school year Tuesday. April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Chamber Singers will perform pieces from the Mass for four voices by William Byrd and a few early and late madrigals.  The Concert Choir will also perform a selection of music around the theme of “A New Song” with music by Ivo Antognini, Frederick Sixten, Andre Makor, Daniel Elder and Karl Jenkins.

“These outstanding young singers have been working diligently to bring to their performance a consistently high level in the hope that this performance will give our audience much beauty and great joy,” said John Erwin, director of both groups. “There is something in this concert that will speak to everyone.”

The choir will end the concert with the UCA Alma Mater and the spiritual “Plenty Good Room.”
