Black Alumni Weekend

The Black Alumni Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas creates a new tradition with the first “Black Alumni Weekend” April 17-19, 2015.

While the weekend is set to be a fun-filled celebration, the major focus is scholarship fund-raising. “We are going to have a great time, but we also want to pay it forward with our scholarship affair and raise some money to give back to students and support the university,” said Black Alumni Chapter President LaTonya Matheney. “We welcome and invite everyone.”

The Black Alumni Chapter was established September 21, 2013 to foster a sense of community among UCA black graduates and the alumni community while helping to advance the universities mission.

“Black alumni weekend is our way of engaging our membership and the UCA community.  We have worked hard to put together this weekend full of fun, fellowship, and support,” said Black Alumni Weekend Chair Jarod Matheney.

Registration for the weekend is now open. For more information you can visit uca.edu/blackalumniweekend. The Black Alumni Chapter will host the following events during the weekend:
