Ronald Jensen-McDaniel (Ron) received his Master’s of Arts in Community Music with top honors from the University of Limerick (UL) in January of 2013 and his Bachelor’s of Music with a concentration in vocal performance from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in 2010. In May of 2018, Ron portrayed the lead role of Dessalines in Opera in the Rock’s production of Troubled Island. In Fall 2017, Ran premiered and aria from Tania Leòn’s opera Little Rock Nine in conjunction with the 60th anniversary celebration of the integration of Central High School. In Spring of 2017, Ron performed in the chorus for Opera in the Rock’s production of The Barber of Seville. In Fall of 2016, Ron premiered excerpts from Ulysses Key’s opera,  Frederick Douglass, with the Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Karen Griebling. In winter 2016, Ron performed with the UCA Opera Theater and Conway Symphony Orchestra in Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. Ron’s past roles include; Dmitri in The Music Shop (2016), Tom/John in The Face on the Barroom Floor (2016), Schaunard, La Bohéme-Opera in the Rock (2016), Peter, Hansel and Gretel-UCA Opera Theater (2016), and Figaro, Le Nozze de Figaro, UCA Opera Theater (2015). Currently, Ron teaches voice for the Community School of Music.
