UCA Students Awarded Robert & Carol Adcock Scholarships

2018 Adcock Scholarships winners

Seven UCA students were awarded the Robert & Carol Adcock Study Abroad Scholarship in 2018. Student who plan to participate in a study abroad program at UCA are eligible for the scholarship, which was established by Robert and Carol Adcock in 1998.

The UCA students awarded the study abroad scholarships included Kilee Hall (Public Relations major and Spanish minor), Trysten Davis (Education major and German minor), Vania Ciswondo (Computer Science major and Spanish minor), Rhett Dutton (French and Linguistics majors), Micah Escalante (Spanish and Linguistics majors), Maria Neal (Biochemistry major and Spanish minor), and Austin Orvin (Spanish and Criminology majors). One UCA student, Aida Kuettle Quintero, was awarded the Robert & Carol Adcock Teacher Candidate Scholarship. Mrs. Kuettle, who is currently a graduate student completing her MA in Spanish at UCA and a Spanish Language teacher at Morrilton High School, will participate in a study abroad program in Spain this summer.

On April 17th, the students awarded the Adcock Scholarships were honored at a reception in Buffalo Alumni Hall sponsored by the Department of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures, & Cultures and attended by Mrs. Carol Adcock, Dr. Michael Hargis, Interim UCA Provost, and Dr. Kale Gober, Vice President for University Advancement and President of the UCA Foundation.
