Dr. Mehl is the Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.  Before that he served as the Director of the General Education program.  Dr. Mehl’s research interests are at the intersections of philosophy and religion, with a focus on Kierkegaard and William James.  His most recent project is a book length study of Kierkegaard: Thinking through Kierkegaard: Existential Identity in a Pluralistic World, (University of Illinois press).  Dr. Mehl also serves as the Director of the Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies degree program.
