Dr. Na Mi Bang, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School Counseling Program at University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Bang is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Iowa. Dr. Bang has worked in school, career, community, and college counseling settings.

Dr. Bang teaches graduate courses in the areas of career guidance in K-12, multicultural counseling, and educational assessment. Her research focuses on career development, instrument development and validation, and diversity issues in school counseling and counselor education. Dr. Bang has presented at international, national, and state-level conferences in the fields of counseling and has authored numerous professional publications.

Dr. Bang was selected as an ACES Emerging Leader and received the AERA Division E’s Distinguished Research Award. She currently serves on several journal editorial boards.
