Lauren joined the UCA staff in August 2011; she is responsible for the direct care of student athletes in the Sugar Bears basketball program. She came to UCA after pursuing her Master’s degree in Sport Psychology at California State University, Fresno. While at Fresno State, her primary responsibility was providing medical coverage for the women’s softball team and serving as an approved clinical instructor.
In addition to working with the women’s basketball team, she oversees the Graduate Assistant with cross country and track and field. She teaches the senior professional development and beginning weight training and conditioning courses, as well as courses in the Kinesiology and Physical Education Department.
Prior to her graduate experiences at Fresno State, Lauren worked as an athletic trainer for numerous athletic teams including University of Denver volleyball, Northeastern University field hockey and Harvard University women’s soccer, men’s lacrosse and football.
During the summer of 2007, she worked with the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse. Originally from Denver, Colorado she is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association, and Arkansas athletic Trainers’ Association.
