Policy 1.2.02 – Office Workstations
UCA Information Technology
Policies, Standards, and Procedures
REVISION: 1 (09/23/2008)
AREA: NETWORK DEVICES
SUBJECT: OFFICE WORKSTATIONS
It is the responsibility of the Information Technology department to implement network and computer-related services and resources that affect the UCA community as a whole. In order to minimize network-related problems and network downtime caused by installing non-standard devices or implementing duplicate services, no department other than Information Technology may implement a campus-wide service on the UCA network.
- The Information Technology department specifies standard computer systems ensuring that the workstations will function properly on the campus network and that the Information Technology staff has the experience and expertise to resolve problems that arise with these workstations.
- Since UCA does not provide centralized funding for the purchase of workstations, each department is responsible for actually purchasing computers for their members.
- Listed below are the standard computer models currently supported.
