UCA is currently on Blackboard Learn 9.1 SP 11.

Blackboard is a course management system used by UCA. Blackboard Learn includes a Virtual Course Environment with a complete set of tools for course preparation, delivery, and management, resulting in an e-learning system that is easy to use, innovative, and reliable.

Student Infomation

Logging Into Blackboard
A student must log in to MyUCA | www.uca.edu/myuca to access their Blackboard courses.

To log in to myUCA you will need your student account information. Your username is the first part of your email address and your password is a six digit pin number. (jdoe@uca.edu username is jdoe) If you don’t know this information you will need to bring a photo ID to Burdick Hall 101.

Once in Blackboard you will go to the My Courses tab. Click on the course you are trying to access, a new window should pop up, you are now in your Blackboard course.

Student Help for Using Blackboard
Blackboard has an online help for students at http://help.blackboard.com. When you get to the website, the menu on the left should already be open to Learn and you will need to choose 9.1 SP 10 and SP 11. On the next page you will choose Student.

Blackboard FAQs

I am registered for my course but I cannot access the course in Blackboard.

Blackboard courses are not set to open until the first day of class.  If it is on or after the first scheduled class meeting and you are still getting an error “Guests are not allowed”, please email desupport@uca.edu with your full name, student ID number, CRN of your course (this is the 5 digit section number used to register you in the course) and your instructor’s name.

I got kicked out of my assignment/exam and cannot get back in. Make these link to another page for the answers.

Students having issues with assignment and exam submissions should contact their instructor first before calling the helpdesk.  The IT Helpdesk and Distance Education Support staff will not reset submission attempts without speaking directly to the instructor.  If you have made every attempt to contact your instructor but they are not available, you may email desupport@uca.edu with your full name, student ID number, CRN of your course (this is the 5 digit section number used to register you in the course), your instructor’s name, and the name of the assignment or exam and we will contact your instructor.

My instructor says my exam should be open but it’s not.
