Your username is the first part of your email address and your password is a six digit PIN (in the email jdoe@cub.uca.edu, the username is jdoe). If you don’t know this information, you will need to bring a photo ID to the IST Help Desk in Burdick Hall 101.

Blackboard FAQs

I am registered for a course, so why can’t I access it on Blackboard?

Blackboard courses are not set to open until the first day of class. If it is on or after the first scheduled day of class and you are still getting an error ‘Guests are not allowed,’ please email desupport@uca.edu with your full name, student ID number, CRN of your course (this is the five-digit section number used to register you in the course) and your instructor’s name.

I got kicked out of my assignment/exam and cannot get back in. What should I do?

If you are having issues with an assignment or exam submission, you should first contact your instructor before calling the IST Help Desk. IST staff will not reset submission attempts without the student first speaking directly to their instructor. If you have made every attempt to contact your instructor but they are not available, you may email desupport@uca.edu with your full name, student ID number, CRN of your course (this is the five-digit section number used to register you for the course), your instructor’s name, and the name of the assignment or exam. Then we will contact your instructor.

My instructor says my exam should be open but it’s not. What should do?

If you have made every attempt to contact your instructor but they are not available, you may email desupport@uca.edu with your full name, student ID number, CRN of your course (this is the five-digit section number used to register you for the course), your instructor’s name, and the name of the assignment or exam.
