Mehmet Ulupinar has worked for nonprofit and for-profit corporations in the South Central United States before joining University of Central Arkansas in 2015. As part of his previous experience, he has travelled extensively in the United States. He has been to Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Mexico. He has been an Arkansan since his move to Little Rock from Louisiana with his family in 2009.

M.S. in Finance, University of New Orleans, New Orleans, LA

M.S. in International Business, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Processing new partnership agreements. Managing and revisions of those agreements.
  • Partnership agreements increase international student/scholar mobility and allow UCA students to study in different locations for a semester or two
  • Short-term programs at UCA (from 2-weeks to 2-months) that include Culture and Language Immersion Camps/Conferences (CLIC) for high school and college students as well as for professionals from around the world
  • Preparing, managing, and coordinating Friends of Fulbright program for college students from Argentina
  • Organizing conference and special events for the departmental programs
  • Hosting international university representatives and delegations
