IGC Sorority Recruitment

IGC currently has one sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda.  Their organization follows all UCA policies for sorority recruitment, which includes delayed recruitment. The main recruitment process is delayed at least four weeks into the Fall semester for entering freshmen. The delayed recruitment philosophy is that students will acclimate themselves to campus for the first few weeks of school, and then be able to join a fraternity or sorority. The university has set forth a few minimum eligibility requirements before you can join a fraternity or sorority on campus. 1) Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 hours) 2) Entering freshmen must have at least a 2.5 high school GPA; current/transfer students must have at least a 2.5 college GPA. 3)Must complete a Greek Life Orientation Session hosted by the Office of Student Life BEFORE participating in the recruitment process or being extended an invitation to membership. Session information and more information about delayed recruitment can be found at uca.edu/gogreek/greek-recruitment-information
