Amanda Bruce was born in Northern Ireland and studied Latin, French, German and
Italian at high school. She graduated with a B.A. Hons. in French and German, a Dip.
TEFL and an M.A. in TESOL. During her studies she was an international student for
a semester at the University of Grenoble, France, and completed her foreign
teaching practice at a high school in Madrid, Spain. She has taught EFL in Germany
and Turkey, and ESL in four different states in the U.S. She has had the opportunity
to spend semesters overseas with her husband and daughters in Ankara, Turkey
and London, U.K. In 2005, Amanda joined IEP as a part-time instructor.
