Clinical Instructor I-Department of Health Sciences

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) invites applications for a nine month Clinical Instructor I, in the Department of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate health education courses (including Epidemiology, Concepts of Lifetime Health and Fitness, Health Education in a Medical Care Setting, Theoretical Basis, as well as other online heath education elective courses.)    Additionally, candidates will be expected to serve on departmental and University committees, advise students, serve as a community resource person in health education at the local and regional level and actively participate in professional organizations.

Department:   The Department of Health Sciences is dedicated to the enhancement of the health and well-being of the public through preparation of professionals and the advancement of health-related knowledge and skills. The department offers the BS and MS degrees in Health Education and Health Sciences. The departmental faculty includes 12 full-time and 8 part-time instructors.

Qualification:  The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a  master’s degree in Health Education, Health Sciences or related field.   Preference will be given to persons with evidence of excellence in teaching and advising.  Additionally, development and management of teaching online classes is required.  Candidate must be CHES/MCHES eligible or certification is preferred.

Community: UCA is located in Conway, Arkansas, a thriving city of approximately 60,000. Conway is located thirty miles northeast of Little Rock, the state capital.
