VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MASS COMMUNICATION: BROADCAST JOURNALISM
Responsibilities: Teach courses in broadcast journalism and online production. Supervise student broadcast productions. Have a working knowledge of Final Cut and other editing systems.
Required Qualifications: Terminal degree is required or significant progress toward the terminal degree; professional experience and/or college teaching experience preferred. A research background is required with a relevant professional or scholarly record. Knowledge of sound recording and editing is essential. The successful candidate is one committed to teaching journalism in a liberal arts environment and is intent on maintaining an active artistic and scholarly life.
Employment Conditions: Nine-month, to start August 2013.

The Department and the Program: The Department of Mass Communication and Theatre offers degrees in either Theatre or Mass Communication (with degrees in filmmaking, journalism, and theatre). The Department has 300+ majors, offers BA and BS degrees, produces motion pictures and television programs, operates a television station, and publishes campus newspapers and a yearbook.
