The Department of Mathematics at the University of Central Arkansas is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position in mathematics beginning August 2014. The position requires a doctorate. Preference will be given to candidates with emphasis in any area of analysis, applied analysis, applied statistics/probability, discrete mathematics or computational mathematics. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses and conducting research.
A strong commitment to and proven ability in undergraduate teaching is required. Regular teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. At the present time, the Department has 21 full-time faculty members and 20 graduate assistants. The department offers undergraduate degrees in applied mathematics, mathematics and mathematics education as well as masters degrees in applied mathematics and mathematics education.
