12-13 Winter Break Housing Request Form

UCA's residence halls (except Conway and State) close officially for Winter Break at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012 and reopen at 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Residence Hall students needing housing at ANY time DURING this break, must request and be granted permission for Winter Break Housing.

Important Dates:
Monday, November 19: Winter Break Request Form available online

Friday, December 7: Deadline to request Winter Break Housing

Wednesday, December 12: Deadline to cancel Winter Break Housing request in writing to housing@uca.edu

Saturday, December 15: UCA Residence Halls (except Conway and State) close at noon for Winter Break

Students approved to stay are required to move to their temporary assignment by NOON on December 15. Students will not have access to their permanent assignment during the break.

Monday, January 7: Students approved to stay for Winter Break must check out of their temporary assignments and move back to their permanent assignment.

Wednesday, January 9: Residence Halls reopen for Spring semester at 9:00am

Eligibility to be approved for Winter Break Housing:
- The reason provided on this form as well as the distance your permanent address is from campus, will be evaluated in determining your eligibility to stay during break. Please be specific with your request.
- Students must live in on-campus housing for both the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013
- Students who are studying abroad, graduating, or not returning in the Spring semester are not eligible for Winter Break Housing (must vacate by December 15).

By submitting this request form, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of UCA Winter Break Housing:
- I understand that submission of this form does not guarantee approval
- Students not living in Conway or State WILL be moved to a temporary assignment during the Winter Break.
- If you lock yourself out of your room, please expect a delay in response. Staffing will be minimal until January 9, 2013.
- You are not permitted to allow anyone access to your room/apartment/building during the Winter Break. No overnight guests may be hosted in rooms during the Winter Break, including other UCA students not approved to stay on campus during the break.
- The policies of the UCA Student Handbook will be in full effect during the Winter Break. Any violation of the policies will result in immediate removal from campus until the residence halls re-open on January 9, 2013.
- There may be interruptions and noise disturbances during the break, as the Physical Plant staff uses the break periods to make necessary repairs.
- The decision regarding your Winter Break housing request will be sent via email, verbal commitments are not valid.
- Those student approved WILL have to move to temporary housing by December 15 at noon and be available to check out of the temporary assignment and move back to your permanent assignment on January 7.
- Students will be responsible for any damages that occur to their temporary assignment and cleaning their temporary assignment prior to checking out on January 7th.
- Students who do not check out of their temporary assignment on January 7th will be subject to the improper check-out fee of $50.00. * I agree I do not agree (Void my request)
