Dear 2015 Camp Directors:
Thank you for choosing the University of Central Arkansas as the location for your 2014 summer camp. UCA is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for minors (persons under the age of 18). Therefore, all summer camp programs with participants under the age of 18 must provide evidence to UCA that employees or volunteers of the camp who exercise administrative or supervisory authority have completed a criminal background check (federal, state, and Arkansas Child Maltreatment, or a background check conducted by UCA's approved vendor at the camp's expense).
The camp must also certify that all employees and volunteers of the camp have completed training for Arkansas Mandated Reporters. If the camp does not have access to training, your camp staff may complete the training provided by the State of Arkansas at the following web address:
Background checks and training certification must be submitted to UCA Housing Office/UCA Outreach and Community Engagement/UCA Athletic Department at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the camp.
