Dr. Anita Sego is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Health Sciences. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with her PhD in Health Education, received her Masters in Health Program and Facility Administration from Indiana State University, and her BS degree in Health Studies at Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Sego holds a national certification as a Master Certified Health Education from NCHEC as well as certifications in instructional design, advanced online learning, and economic development. She has been on the executive board for Arkansas Society for Public Health Education (ARSOPHE) since 2017.  She also serves as a member at large for the executive committee of the Arkansas Public Health Association.  Dr. Sego was appointed to the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts Juvenile Division Curriculum Committee in 2019. Dr. Sego worked out in the field for over twenty years before coming to UCA.  Dr. Sego has an intensive background in working with government and non-profit public health programs and services, especially in the areas of emergency management and response, community planning and organizing, occupational health and safety, environmental health, and public health administration as well as working with multicultural  and special populations in diverse settings.
