Endowed Giving

Endowments build lasting financial strength and ensure academic quality and once in place, provide permanent support for teaching and research, student aid, and an abundance of other academic programs and activities. Only the income from your gift will be used to support your area of choice.

The minimum amount required for establishment of an endowment is $10,000. The following minimum amounts are required to establish specific endowments:

Annual Prize/Award $10,000
Named Scholarship Fund $25,000
Named Excellence Fund $100,000
Named Lectureship $250,000
Named Professorship $500,000
Named Chair $1,000,000

Endowments can be paid over time by signing a pledge form that indicates the timeframe and structure of the endowment.  Typically, most pledges are paid over a five year period.  For additional information, contact a Development Representative.

Endowments can be customized to support various areas throughout the university.  From student scholarships to faculty enhancement endowments, the donor has the ability to give guidance to their area of support.  A full list of endowed funds in the UCA Foundation can be found here.

An endowed gift of $25,000 or more will receive special recognition with a customized plaque placed on the UCA Donor Wall in McCastlain Hall.
