Margin of Excellence Fund
Alumni and friends help make things happen at UCA through annual gifts. Annual contributions to the Margin of Excellence Fund, UCA's annual giving fund, provide a foundation for the growth and development of our university.
Each year, University of Central Arkansas alumni, parents, and friends give and these contributions help fund a variety of needs from student scholarships to faculty research grants. Annual gifts from our loyal supporters provide the essential annual income to help the university accomplish its mission.
Every gift, no matter its size, makes a difference and allows us to continue to provide the quality educational opportunities UCA is proud to offer. Year after year, we depend on your support.
In 2009-2010 annual gifts will provide financial assistance to students like Chloe McNeil who chose to study early childhood education because of her love for children and her desire to teach future generations how to make a difference in the world.
Annual gifts also provides grants to faculty members like:
- Dr. Susan Gatto who is studying ways to improve the retention of nursing students; and
- Dr. Alison Hall who is working with a team of students to identify, catalog and label a collection of donated pre-Columbian art; and
- Dr. Ricky Brooks who is working with UCA instrumental band education majors to provide concert band clinics to junior and senior high school bands across the state.
