5310 SECONDARY METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION The course identifies exemplary models of teaching and programming which students can adapt for their own professional use. Investigation, analysis, and practice of effective methods and techniques for the development of motor skill learning in children and adolescents will be conducted through systematic observations and evaluation of students’ teaching. Primary instructional methods include lecture, discussion, and micro-teaching. Clinical experience will be required. 6333 ADVANCED PHYSIOLOGY OF EXERCISE Examines the body as a machine through bioenergetics, cardiovascular response to activity, ventilatory control, neuromuscular factors, and force/power relationships in the musculature.
