My research interests focus on the biomechanics of chronic overuse shoulder injuries. In particular, I am interested in the kinematics and muscle activation of the shoulder complex during therapeutic interventions and functional activities in overhead athletes.  My research goals include gaining a better understanding of the shoulder complex with regard to 1) susceptibility to overuse injuries, 2) the most effective rehabilitation techniques and 3) a prevention strategy for overuse injuries.
