Bio: Dr. Campbell was graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in economics. He earned his M.A. and PhD in economics from George Mason University. He has published over 35 refereed articles. At the University of Central Arkansas, Dr. Campbell teaches Principles of Economics, Managerial Economics for MBA’s, and Senior Seminar in Economics. His research interests are in the economics of state level public finance, property rights, and entrepreneurship. He is the editor of the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy. He is the former editor of the Southern Journal of Entrepreneurship. He has published in the Journal of Small Business Management, the Cato Journal, Journal of Political Science, Public Finance Review, the Journal of Business Research, and the Southern Economic Journal. He has testified before state legislators in Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma on the importance of low taxes and straightforward regulations for economic development. He and his wife are the companions for 6 Basset Hounds.
