TLC Services & Supplies
Equipment Checkout and Rental
Students within the College of Education or a program in the Professional Education Unit (PEU) may check out the following items from the Technology Learning Center: digital cameras, video cameras, and tripods. There is a rental fee of $5.00 per night for each camera rental that must be prepaid. Headsets are available to use within the TLC with a UCA student ID.
The following items are available for checkout by College of Education and PEU faculty and staff members: digital cameras, video cameras, tripods, laptops, projectors, headsets, and other technology equipment as needed. There is no user fee for faculty and staff members.
Bulletin Board & Office Supplies
The TLC offers a variety of bulletin board and office supplies available for purchase.
Bulletin Board supplies: butcher paper (white, green, orange, red, yellow, brown, black, sky blue, navy blue, purple), borders, construction paper, tag board (cardstock), markers, crayons, colored pencils, and glue sticks.
Office supplies: show boards, display boards, poster board, foam board, file folders, file pockets, portfolio folders, report covers, sheet protectors, tab sets, envelopes, binding spirals, pens, pencils, transparencies, and name badge holders.
Video Services
The TLC offers video transfer and copy services with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Acceptable formats: SD card, memory stick, flash drive, Mini-DVD, Mini-DV, VHS, VHS-C, and internal storage (must leave video camera with power & video cords). Other formats may be accepted if the customer provides the camera and power & video cords.
CD / DVD transfers and copies can only be made from non-commercial discs.

A number of blank media products are available for purchase at the TLC - diskettes, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RDL, SD cards, USB flash drives, VHS, and Mini-DV tapes.

Educational Resource Equipment
Two computer labs are available for student use. Faculty and staff members may reserve the labs for classes and/or workshops if needed by contacting the TLC Help Desk. Both black / white and color printing is offered for a small fee, and scanners and Apple iMacs are available for use.
Poster printing is offered in both simple and photo quality options. The PosterPrinterPlus is able to print simple, one-color posters on both thermal and non-thermal paper. HP Color Photo printers are available for full-color photo quality posters, ranging in size from 4 x 6 inches to 2 x 3 feet.
Hot and cold laminators are available for use at a small charge. The TLC also offers spiral binding and Ellison Die Cutters that can be used for no charge. Education resources, such as textbooks, workbooks, and resource books, are available for checkout to College of Education students, and the TLC houses the reserve items for the College of Education and Psychology Department.
