Pre-K Early Literacy Learning in Arkansas

Tammy Benson is an early literacy trainer for the Department of Human Services PREK ELLA project.  Pre-K Early Literacy Learning in Arkansas (Pre-K ELLA) is a professional development opportunity focusing on the behaviors, skills, and concepts that are part of emerging literacy in preschool children. As Pre-K ELLA participants, early childhood professionals will participate in 30 hours of training consisting of discussion and hands-on activities relating to emerging literacy.   Tammy will be conducting a five-day training for 30 preschool teachers on Oct. 12, 14, Nov. 16, 18, and Dec. 7.  Email tammyb@uca.edu for registration.  More information can be obtained at http://ecep.uark.edu/5807.htm.
