Angela Carroll Jackson

Angela Jackson is a native of Monticello and Fordyce, AR. She has lived in Conway since 1984 when she decided to attend the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). She received her B.B.A. in Accounting in May 1988 and continued on to receive her M.B.A. in Business Administration in May 1990 from UCA. While at UCA, was involved in her sorority - Alpha Kappa Alpha, Students for the Propagation of Black Culture, served as a Resident Assistant and Hall Director. Her desire to "shape" young folks started with her first summer job in summer registration which she held for four years while attending college. Upon graduating with her Masters degree, under the direction of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, she was essential in establishing the first UCA centralized advising center by serving as a full-time academic counselor for undecided majors. She served in that capacity for seven years before venturing into the corporate sector to utilize her business background at Fortune 500 company Dillard's Department Stores headquarters in Little Rock, AR as a Marketing specialist. In 2009, Ms. Jackson, made her return to her alma mater to continue her work in student services to have an impact on the lives of UCA students once again. She is the biological mother of one daughter but a mother to hundreds who come in contact with her on a yearly basis.
